I’m making a resolution this year to make healthier choices.

To start this year of “new” off right, I’m sharing 10 Healthy Breakfast Options in this week’s Saturday Morning Roundup. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! If you can manage to start your day off healthy and right, the rest of the day will be a breeze. Or at least you’ll have one healthy meal to counter-act some accidental bad choices…

Each Saturday Morning Roundup this month will have a healthy angle towards it. Next week I will share some lunches, then dinners, and of course… dessert!

I’ve searched the blogging web to find some deliciously healthy breakfast options, and it definitely has me excited to shed a few el-bee’s. Make sure you click on the link to get to the recipes, and don’t forget to share your healthy recipes below!

I’m a sucker for muffins, and these Pumpkin Chip Oat Muffins from Jenn’s Favorite Cookies sound like the perfect way to start any day!

Are you on board the Chia train yet? Apparently Chia seeds are all the rage, and not just for growing green haired Scooby Doo’s. This Strawberry Banana Chia Smoothie from The Pescetarian and The Pig is full of those tiny black seeds, and a great way to get your healthy on.

My kids are absolutely in love with oatmeal. They will eat it every meal if I let them. So when I spied these Homemade Oatmeal Pucks from Williams Kitchen, my jaw dropped! Now you can make healthy oatmeal once a week and have these little guys ready to go whenever the need arises.

If you have to have your carbs, then try these Whole Grain Cherry Almond Scones. I love these little beauties with fresh cherries and that nutty texture.

If you’re really adventurous, you have to try these Buckwheat Cinnamon Rolls from Healthy Green Kitchen. Yeah, you heard. Cinnamon Rolls that are healthy{gluten and grain free too}! Word.

Speaking of grain free and gluten free, I’m dying over how awesomely easy these Organic Flourless Peanut Butter and Jelly Pancakes by Whole Lifestyle Nutrition are! I am foreseeing PB&J Pancakes in my near future.

Being that I am now in the frozen north of Canada, a warm bowl of this Oatmeal with Apples and Cinnamon from Cooking Melangery will be a perfectly healthy way to start a blustery day.

Mushrooms, spinach and eggs happen to be three of my kid’s favorite foods. I am fully aware of how strange that is. But I am totally loving this Mushroom Spinach Baked Eggs from Pepper.PH. After all, if I’m going to tighten my belt around here, so should my kids!

We can’t forget that beautiful green power fruit. Avocado! If you have never combined eggs with avocado, then you are in for a treat with my Open Faced Egg and Avocado Sandwich. It’s super simple to throw together, and also very filling.

I’m absolutely loving this savory breakfast from Cookin’ Canuck. She whips up this Sweet Potato Hash with Canadian Bacon, Red Peppers and Sage like nobody’s business. Except I want it to be my business… like every single day of my life…
